Big Day

August 27th was a big day in the Coady family- especially for our oldest. He'd been looking forward to his first soccer game for months. His (and his uncle Wil's) team Indiana was up against Arizona. According to Hudson, the final score was 8-8, however that was not official- and several of Arizona's goals were with hands or from the out of bounds side...

After the game, Hudson informed us of one plan he had made with Tanner and Wil. He was going to yell Tanner's name then actually kick it to Wil, tricking everyone. They never got around to trying this. And another interesting game tid-bit, we asked H what he was talking to the other team about at one point in the game. He said that a kid on the other team told them, "You're going down to the ground." I asked him what he said, his quick-witted response: "No, actually, you are going down to the ground." :) Was pretty surprised at the smack-talk in a 5 year old game!

Game #2 this Saturday- he's counting down the hours. We're also all hoping to meet little brother soon too. Hoping that somehow he may arrive at a time where Craig can head to Seattle for our dear friend Abe's wedding on Saturday, but looking less and less like a possibility :( 8 days til the due date.
